This post captures the efforts from August 2023 through December 2023 to complete the Canopy. It was a major undertaking and I’m pleased with how it came out. It also includes the work to install the canopy wire harness. That wiring primarily controls 3 things:
- Connection to a switch to indicate if the canopy is properly closed, or not
- Connections to fans in the glareshield for defrost
- Connections to Red & White LED strips in the glareshield for lighting
When reviewing this timeline, I saw a favorite pic of our pup Taylor the one time I got her a hamburger from McDonalds when we were hanging out together, and felt compelled to include it. We lost her to illness in the summer of 2024 and we’ll miss her forever 🙁
